What the heck is an Viola Organista?

This may look familiar, but it's an invention from over 400 years ago that just now made it to light.  Leonardo Da Vinci put it on paper but it was never actually made, until now.

A man in Poland decided to decode Da Vinci's backwards (literally) handwriting and make the odd instrument- which sounds like an organ and a cello put together.  Read about it here and watch the amazing video below of how it actually sounds.  Pure genius!

You know, if Dr. Schultz drew crazy instruments and Da Vinci came up with crazy ones that actually sound so beautiful, I believe our children should be out there creating something new for the music world.  Show them this video and tell me what they think?!
