Makers

Chris Anderson at Alt Summit

I, like Gabrielle of designmom.com, am fascinated by how things get started, are made, are created.  I guess it stems from my love of art and music.  The early artists had to physically chip marble out of the mountain then hand carve everything.  What muscle!  And early composers, most of them, usually knew the mechanics of how to make a piano or they actually built their instruments themselves!  What masterminds!  It makes me feel like a wimp.

But when I read Chris Anderson's book "Makers", I fell in love with our generation again, despite my claims that my son play too many video games.

I hope you enjoy this article about Chris Anderson and give the book a try.
